The ETW-02 hybrid tower truck embodies a sophisticated hybrid design. It combines quiet, emission-free operation with an impressive working range.
The ETW-02 is equipped with a diesel engine and an additional electric motor for propulsion during operations. The diesel engine ensures that the vehicle reaches the scene with its usual reliability. At the work site, the hybrid commercial vehicle transforms into an electric aerial platform. The drive system and all electrical systems and equipment are powered quietly and emission-free by the built-in lithium battery. The ETW-02 can easily handle work shifts of up to 12 hours without recharging.
The tower truck can be controlled using zControl and a joystick. The aerial work platform can also be operated precisely using the joystick. The box can be mounted anywhere on the aerial work platform, ensuring a perfect view at all times.
Battery packs, voltage, power output and the number of cells – or any increase in capacity – are tailored to the specific application. The battery packs are maintenance-free and are charged fully automatically. The ETW-02 reliably covers a full shift of up to two days without producing any emissions.
The aerial work platform, the interior fittings and the external storage compartments are specially tailored to the customer’s requirements. The available space is utilised to the full.
Sustainable and user-friendly
The ETW-02 hybrid tower truck also impresses with further resource-saving features. As with all Turicum Engineering hybrid vehicles, the zControl remote control system is fitted as standard in the ETW-02 tower truck. The operator can actively participate in the work being carried out in the basket and manoeuvre the entire vehicle via a flexibly positionable control panel in the insulated basket. Operation is simple and intuitive. 3D sensors assist the driver: the intelligent assistance system scans the area in front of and behind the tower truck and applies the brakes in the event of danger.
Maximum reliability with an electric drive
In building our hybrid commercial vehicles, our aim is to strike the best possible balance between the reliability of a combustion engine and the emissions of an electric vehicle. The ETW-02 hybrid tower truck can be charged from any mains socket. Should the lithium batteries nevertheless run low on power, the built-in generator recharges them via the diesel engine in four hours. Work does not need to be interrupted in the process. The diesel engine is switched off again after a short interim charge.
